Eoin Everard says that Athletes with the B standard times should be allowed qualify for major Championships.
The Kilkenny City Harrier Athlete qualified for next weeks European Championships in Amsterdam in the 1500 metres.
Carlows Marcus Lawler also qualified.
He told KCLR that major Championships like the Europeans shouldn’t be just restricted to the Elite Athletes……
“Yeah, I definitely think you should be qualified because I think what people forget sometimes is that your competing at such a hard level and say that I have qualified for the Europeans now, it kind of inspires people locally as well”
