The Carlow Junior A & Junior B Football Championships got underway over the past 48 hours.
On Tuesday night there was a Junior A double header at the Training Centre in Fenagh.
St Patricks were facile winners over Leighlinbridge by 4-25 to 1-8 as the Tullow men simply ran riot from pillar to post.
Ballon and Rathvilly played out a more closely fought contest on the bottom pitch.
Ballon eventually won out thanks to a wonder goal from veteran Alan Kelly on a scoreline of 3-11 to 2-11.
Last night at the same venue Asca just about saw off St Andrews by 2-10 to 2-8 in what was a repeat of the 2014 county final.
Asca are favourites to win the Championship while Eire Og could end up pushing them all the way after they defeated Kildavin Clonegal by 2-21 to 1-4 last night.
Fenagh will be hard stopped in the Junior A Championship and the general consensus is that they will make an immediate return to the Intermediate ranks with John Kearns at the helm.
The Junior C Football Championship gets underway tonight with Clonmore taking on Ballon at 8pm in the Training Centre in Fenagh, while as stated on the site elsewhere Palatine play Tinryland in the Senior Championship at the same time at Netwatch Cullen Park
