Ballyhale Shamrocks player Evan Shefflin says the backs were much happier with their performance against Bennettsbridge than they were against Graigue Ballycallan in the championship.
The Shamrocks now prepare for their Semi-Final against James Stephens and have a weekend off.
Speaking to scoreline, Evan says they worked hard on their defense ahead of the Bennettsbridge game.
“To be honest, the six backs, we weren’t happy with that at all (Graigue Ballycallan game), so that was a big thing, cutting down on what we conceded,” said Evan.
“We knew from the last day we played Bennettsbridge that it wasn’t going to be easy, they have some top quality forwards there so the main thing was sticking as hard as we could to our men and fight for every ball, and that’s what we did”.
The senior relegation semi-finals take place this weekend.
On Saturday, Erins Own and Graigue Ballycallan clash at 3 pm in Pairc Lachtain while at the same time in James Stephens grounds, Lisdowney go head to head with the Rower Inistioge.
