Former Kilkenny Senior Hurler DJ Carey says that Brian Cody is the common denominator as to why the new players onto the Kilkenny panel have been performing well.
Speaking to KCLR as Kilkenny continue their preparations for Sunday’s Leinster Final replay against Galway, DJ says that a Brian Cody Team will always give it 100%…..
“There was a lot of players. I think there was 35 odd players used during the National League so it’s no secret”
“We have the players in Kilkenny there is no doubt about that, but certainly the common denominator in all that is Brian Cody”
“He’s legendary status now as manager in Kilkenny and by god whatever player and whatever team goes on the field, they certainly will be coming off it after giving it everything and that’s all we can ask for now and if the results come that’s even better and I think on Sunday we were fantastic particularly at the rearguard and maybe upfront we can get a little bit more the next day”
