Kilkenny Senior Hurling manager Brian Cody says it’s a real positive that Padraic Walsh has returned to competitive action after featuring in Kilkenny’s one-point defeat against Clare on Sunday.
Brian says it’s understandable that he (Padraic) is somewhat ring-rusty due to lack of recent competitive action.
He told KCLR Sport “We are trying to strengthen the panel and give lads as much exposure as possible and lads are doing their best to take that opportunity”. It’s good to get him back on the field definitely”.
“He is ok, he just lacks a bit of hurling practice again now, but I mean he is back on the field again now which is good. We have a break of a week now, so we will get an opportunity then to maybe just get a little bit of work done in the meantime.
