The Kilkenny camogie championships are in the bag with Mooncoin, Barrow Rangers and Dicksboro all claiming gold at junior, intermediate and senior levels respectively.

This week on the podcast, Martin and Áine are recapping each of those three final performances

  • Mooncoin v Piltown (junior)
  • Barrow Rangers v James Stephens (intermediate)
  • Dicksboro v Piltown (senior)

before the podcast gets down to the important business of the day – announcing the nominees for the Team of the Year at junior, intermediate and senior levels.

Over the league and championship legs of this season, our hosts, along with scouts at games at all levels around the county, have been working towards compiling their overall team of the year, a first for camogie in Kilkenny.

With almost 100 players in the running across Kilkenny’s adult grades, the nominees will be whittled down to the overall team selections on next week’s podcast.

The 15 players chosen for each team will be presented with specially-commissioned jerseys to make their selection for 2021.

Next week will also see the overall junior, intermediate and senior camogie player of the year announced.

For now, enjoy episode 11.
