In Carlow Camogie news, James Murphy steps down as manager of the team, after succeeding Peter Chap Cleere this year.
Despite securing promotion from Division 3 last year, Carlow faced early setbacks with two losses in Division 2A in 2024 and are due out again on March 9th.
The county board has swiftly appointed a new Management Team, with a collective commitment to ongoing plans for the Very Ireland League, Leinster Championship, and Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Championship.

“A Member of the Carlow Camogie Intermediate Team has confirmed to the Carlow Camogie County Board, Team Management and Players that for personal reasons he will not be in a position to continue as Team Manager.”
“Carlow Camogie wishes to thank James Murphy for his efforts since Decemeber and wish him well at this time. “
“A Management Team has been put in place by the Carlow Camogie Executive and this Management Group, Players and County Board are committed to continuing plans for the remainder of the Very Ireland League, Leinster Championship and Glen Dimplex All Ireland Championship.”
