In the searing heat of Seville, Carlow Dragon Boat Club have claimed bronze on the first day of the European championships.
Taking to the water in the early heat of the day, the Carlow club claimed third place in the 2000m premier women event (behind Germany and Italy) with temperatures tipping 30 degrees.
They’re in Seville for the annual European Dragon Boat Crew Champions, taking place across the weekend.
The Carlow Dragons have three crews in three classes, the 200, 500 and 2000m events.
