Carlow Senior Football manager Turlough O’Brien says the two-break is welcome to them after their defeat at home to Longford on Sunday.
Speaking to KCLR after Sunday’s game, Turlough says will learn the lessons from Sunday’s game, and be all the better for the experience.
He said Division 3 is a tough one “Ah it is yeah yeah, it is, it is a very tight division and there is a lot of games to be played still and I think their is a lot of twists and turns before the League is finished and we know who is going to be promoted and who is going to be relegated”.
He said “Heads are down at the moment, there is no doubt about that, but you put aside your disappointment and you just bounce back, and that’s what footballers do and you use these occasions to learn from it more than anything else, and we can learn the lessons and be a better team for it”.
“I think bodies are tired and we had a good few injuries coming in here, and a two break will give lads a chance to get back to full health”.
