Carlow Senior Football manager Turlough O’Brien says their priority this year is getting promoted out of Division 4.
Attention for the Carlow Footballers now turns towards their National League opener at home to Antrim on Sunday 31st January and Turlough says it will be a dogfight to get out of the Division….
“We drew with them last year above in Belfast, and I know they have re-grouped since then, a lot of players back, but we’re looking forward to that one, that’s our total focus really, to get out of Division 4.
“The other teams are thinking that too, no one wants to be in it, so it’s a bit of a dog fight, no team can say for certain they are going to get out of that Division”.
“These games are up for grabs, you’re going to win some days, lose some other days, and teams are going to do each other favours hopefully over the course of the league, and we’d like to think we’d be in contention at the end of it”
