CARLOW IT Gaelic Football Head Coach and former Laois dual star Pat Critchley has proven his versatility as he has been honored by Basketball Ireland with a lifetime achievement gong as the association announced it’s end of season awards.
In January, Critchley managed Portlaois’s Scoil Chriost Ri to the Under-19 Girls All-Ireland title, before guiding his Carlow IT Sigerson Footballers to the final later on that evening where they lost to the competition hosts DCU.
Pat is the only player from the O’Moore County to be a sole recipient of a Hurling All-Star Award which he won back in 1985, and also managed the James Stephens Senior Hurling Team in the early 2000s.
