The Carlow junior hurling championship got underway on Sunday evening.
There were wins for Naomh Eoin over St. Patricks 1-12 to 1-10.
Bagenalstown Gaels defeated Mt. Leinster Rngs 1-7 to 1-3 while Naomh Brid had a big win over Carlow Town 5-11 to 0-2.
St Mullins had a bye.
The Hurleys are laid down now for a while as this week sees the start of the Michael Lyng Motors Senior Football and the Talbot Hotel Intermediate Football Championship.
