PRO of Carlow Kilkenny FC Paul Brophy says the club will be expanding next year with the inclusion of new teams.
A call out for new coaches created speculation about the possibility that they were preparing for a senior league of Ireland side.
However while that may be on the horizon eventually, it is not the plan for the immediate future he says:
“At the moment we have an U15, an U17 boys and U17 girls, and god willing it’s all subject to being granted licenses etc, that next season we would have an U14, U15 and U17 boys and U17 and U19 girls so we are progressing” he said.
“To join the League Of Ireland at Senior level, we don’t have the finances or the logistics to do that but look, that’s something that we are certainly looking at in the years ahead”.
