Carlow Kilkenny FC came back from 2-0 down against Treaty United to win 3-2 and claim all three points in the Womens National League on Saturday.
This was the young sides first ever victory in the league which complimented the U17’s Carlow Kilkenny mens side who defeated Kerry 4-2 this weekend also.
PRO Paul Brophy says the team performed well after falling behind:
“It was a great performance, they really played as a team, We went down with 13 players including the two goalkeepers, they really grind it out, wasn’t a great start, went 2-0 down, but in fairness to the girls they kept plugging away”.
