In the All Ireland Ladies Football Championship both Carlow and Kilkenny won overseas at the weekend.
Carlow beat London by 3-8 to 1-12 at Ruislip, while Kilkenny defeated Lancashire by 3-8 to 1-11 in Manchester.
And Kilkenny won the Leinster Minor Camogie title as well by defeating Offaly 4-13 to 1-9
Kilkenny Ladies Football Manager James Neary says that the standard of Ladies Football is high.
Speaking to KCLR after the weekends win, James says the victory was deserved.
“I have to say the standard is quite high.
“We have been training well and things went well in challenge matches. It was no surprise to us that we won today.
“It was a great team effort by Lancashire and a very hard game,” he said.
