Carlow Senior Football manager Turlough O’Brien says it’s refreshing that there is expectations within the County after the progression they have made.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s National League clash at home to Longford, Turlough says that they can follow the example of how well their opponents have progressed.
He said “Longford are a county that Carlow could take a leaf outof their book because they have a tremendous record in the last number of years there in Championship Football where they have beaten some top teams through the qualifiers and they are always a very difficult team to beat”.
“Players are responding to that, and our ambitions have been raised now and we see the potential in the team, and the players can see themselves and believe in themselves so it’s a good place to be”.
