Carlow Senior Football manager Turlough O’Brien says that Brendan Murphy needs to learn how to react to situations while he is been targeted.
The Rathvilly Clubman is ruled out of Saturday’s All-Ireland Qualifier at home to Leitrim after been sent-off in the victory in London.
The clash on Saturday throws in at 3pm in Netwatch Cullen Park and speaking to KCLR, Turlough says that Brendan should expect to be targeted…..
“He is targeted, there is no question, he is targeted like and I suppose been such a prominent player, he has to expect that he is going to be targeted and how you deal with that really is the important thing and sometimes these cards are very peculiar”
“They are given for definitive reasons and if you pick up one, it can affect you later in the game and I think that’s what he has suffered from more than anything else”
“If he could learn to I suppose deal with the attention that he gets and not react to it, he would certainly be playing this weekend”
