Carlow Rugby Club PRO John Shirley thinks they have become stronger this season in which they lie 3rd in Division 2A of the Leinster League
The Leinster League takes a break for the October Bank Holiday weekend, but John told KCLR that the young players are progressing well
“Yes, I suppose the outstanding feature of our team this year is that we have a lot of very young players on it especially in the back line, 19 and 20 and there are people who came up through the club and they are looking very promising. We think we are a little bit stronger this season. We are also finding that the teams that we are up against are also a bit stronger. A lot of them have recruited over the summer, so it’s still very competitive”
