Carlow hurler Marty Kavanagh thinks Carlow has a great panel and it’s possible that they can go onto have great success under manager Tom Mullally.
Westmeath dumped Carlow out of the Joe McDonagh Cup when they secured a crucial victory at Netwatch Cullen Park in the second round.
But the St.Mullins man thinks next season will be different
“I suppose the big thing for Carlow hurling is getting players in. There is savage talent in Carlow. This year panel wise it was good but obviously, we got hit with injuries. There are definitely ten or twelve hurlers, who weren’t in the squad, who are good enough to be starting on the Carlow team. That’s a huge thing to get everyone in.”
“Next year I think there is huge potential there, to win a league & Joe McDonagh. That is what our ambitions are & nothing less than that”
