Carlow Under-16 Camogie manager Mick Lillis says they will learn from the disappointment of having suffered a second consecutive All-Ireland Final defeat against Armagh in Sunday’s All-Ireland Under-16 Roinn C Camogie Final.
Speaking to KCLR, Mick says there is plenty of promise for the youngsters and they can bounce back from the disappointment….
“Sure listen, we were all very downhearted and very disappointed. For some of the girls there, it’s their 2nd All-Ireland in a row to lose”
“They lost to Kildare by three points last year as well. For some of the older girls now that would be moving on to Minor in 2018, they are very disappointed not to get an All-Ireland Under-16 title under their belt after been beaten in two finals, one year after the other, but they have to learn from it and a lot of them girls, the likes of Aine Nolans, the Emma Byrne’s and these girls but all them girls will probably break onto the Carlow Intermediate Squad next year as well”
“They have big futures so hopefully Carlow Camogie will look after them from here”
