Carlow’s Molly Scott says shes never been part of a team championships before but is looking forward to doing something different.
She along with other local athletes Marcus Lawler and Sophie Becker have been selected for Team Ireland in the upcoming European Team Athletic Championships in Norway.
Molly Scott won silver in the 100 metres at the Nationals on Sunday has been selected for the women’s 4x100m relay team.
She says it should be good “I’m so used to going to europeans or worlds that they’re individual so not in a points system but i’ve been to schools internationals in previous years where it was about a team and every point matter so it wasn’t about you it was about the team”.
She added “I think there will be a really nice atmosphere at it so i’m really looking forward to it”.
