Carrickshock Chairman Tommy Murphy says they have will be fully focused on the challenge back in the Senior ranks once the celebrations of their All-Ireland Intermediate Club Final has died down.
Speaking to KCLR, Tommy says their Intermediate success was the perfect response having just got relegated from Senior.
“We love our hurlers through thick and thin, we follow them”
“We had a tough period in 2015 when we dropped down, but it’s the sign of good men. We reorganised ourselves and we dug our way out of Intermediate and today (Saturday) is just the culmination of a lot of hard work and effort from players and management”
“We are back up, we are looking forward to it and at this stage we are looking forward to the 23rd of April when we will take on the Rower in Thomastown”
“I would say we will probably have a few little drinks and maybe a little more, but probably after two weeks we will be settling down, we will start playing games and the whole show rolls on”
