Kilkenny City Harriers will host the “Castle Walls” 5km, taking place on Friday, August 14th at 7pm.
All profits from this event will go towards the Carlow Kilkenny Home Care Team. A previous event that was scheduled, The Streets of Kilkenny 5km was cancelled, however this new Pop up race will be taking its place. The event will be following social distancing guidelines with groups of 10 runners leaving the starting line at different intervals.
Jon Maye from the harriers felt it was important to hold an event for the community “We felt as a club, we were thrilled to see so many people running, so we wanted to offer them something to aim for at the end of the summer. We also wanted to do our bit for the community, and those most vulnerable in our community, so all proceeds will go towards the Carlow Kilkenny home team ”
