Celtic captain Scott Brown says the club want the chance to secure the Scottish Premiership title on the pitch.
UEFA yesterday paved the way for associations to finish a league early if COVID-19 prevents it from being completed.
All divisions below the Scottish top flight have already been brought to a close.
Celtic are 13-points clear of Rangers with eight games remaining, and Brown wants to secure a ninth title in a row on their own terms.
“We want the season to finish so we can play out all the games and we can get the trophy. We think that if we continue playing the way we were playing, we could extend our lead at the top.”
