It’s been confirmed by UEFA that this season’s Champions League final will be played in Lisbon on August 23rd.
The Portuguese capital will host all competition games from the quarter finals on wards. With the quarter and semi finals all being single-leg ties. All the outstanding round of 16 games will be played on August 7th and 8th.
The quarter finals on wards of the Europa League will be played in the German cities of Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Duisburg and Cologne. The latter city will host the final on August 21st.
SSE Airtricity League Champions Dundalk are set to begin their UEFA Champions League campaign on August 18/19.
Shamrock Rovers, Bohemians and Derry City will begin their Europa League campaign on August 27 in the first qualifying round. UEFA also confirmed that the qualifying rounds of the two competitions will be played in single legs, with the exception of the UEFA Champions League play-offs.
Women’s National League Champions Peamount United are set to begin their European campaign in the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying round mini-tournaments, played between October 7 and 13. The draw for the qualifying groups will take place in the first week of September.
