It’s a later announcement this month given the way June’s calendar went, but we’ve got ourselves a Kilkenny Sport Star Award recipient for the month.

The Marble City Boxing Club prospect has shown some incredible progress this year, picking up five titles already since the turn of 2022. Not only that, but having picked up two national titles in the past two months, Cian has since gone on to seal qualification to the European schoolboy championships in Turkey this August, has taken gold at the International Hull Box Cup and has joined up with the Irish High-Performance Unit ahead of the championships in Turkey.
Described as a credit to his club, the future looks bright for Stapleton and we’re delighted to see him named as winner of the David Buggy Motors Kilkenny Sport Star Award for the month of June.
