Mt. Leinster Rangers hurler Richie Coady says the strength to their subs bench was a major factor in their victory over Camross yesterday.
Speaking to KCLR afterwards, Richie says any of the substitutes could make a strong claim for a place in the starting team.
“I was just saying to somebody else there, the age old cliche where you would say it’s all a squad effort, but like that is it really epitomizes this Rangers Team. It really really is a squad effort.
“The 30 lads that train with us in the field anyone of them could step on to that starting 15 and not one of them will weaken it. It really was great to see the boys coming on and I tell you the truth, we wouldn’t have won it only for them today.
“Everyone of them came on and they all scored so it’s great to see lads coming off the bench and having such an impact and it really drives the lads on the field when you see that happening,” he said.
Richie also won the Christy Ring Cup player of the year award on Friday.
