With the senior side in the midst of their preparation for next weekend’s league final with Limerick, it’s the turn of the Kilkenny minors this Saturday.
Niall Bergin’s team travel to Abbotstown to face Antrim in the second round of the Electric Ireland Leinster Minor Hurling Championship.
You can hear full live commentary of that game on KCLR from 1.15pm with Adrian Ronan and two-time All-Ireland winner Michael Walsh calling the encounter with thanks to Philip Ireland Tyres.
A win for the youngsters would see them move one-step closer to a place in next month’s semi-final.
They began their provincial campaign with a comfortable defeat of Laois and will conclude their group stage fixtures on April 7th when they take on Galway.
Before the game itself, you can hear the thoughts of manager Niall Bergin on KCLR’s Scoreline this Friday from 6pm-7pm.
That’s not the only big interview on Scoreline this weekend.
On Saturday at 4pm, we’ll chat to former Kilkenny goalkeeper David Herity.
The Kildare manager looks ahead to his side’s league final clash with Offaly on Sunday, gives his thoughts on Kilkenny’s hopes of winning a first piece of silverware when they take on Limerick in the Division 1 decider next month and he gives his opinion on the different styles of hurling in the modern game.
