Crettyard United were back in action in a friendly capacity last weekend.
They managed to lose 5-2 but manager Patrick Brennan is confident everything will fall into place for their big Leinster clash against Usher Celtic in their home-ground. Last year they managed to defeat Usher Celtic in the semi final of the LFA Junior cup, where they went on to play Sheriff YC in the final. A clash with Evergreen this time await the winners of that game in the fifth round of the leinster Junior cup.
Speaking to KCLR Brennan was not worried about the weekends loss saying “Theres stuff we have to address, we are still missing a few players, so everything will fall into place, we will be playing a good few games over the next few weeks”.
Talking about their future opponents “Usher Celtic are one of the best side in the country, we beat them on the way to the final last year, and we probably picked their pockets a bit, but we are under no illusions that Usher will be a huge test”.
