The fencing that surrounds the sportsfield in Johnstown in Kilkenny was damaged by a vehicle of some sort earlier this week.

Local soccer club Spa United posted on their Facebook page that “more damage was done” when someone drove into the fencing around the hurling field.

Fenians Gaa Club and Spa United have pitches in the Jim Maher Memorial Park there.

Writing on their Facebook page, Spa United said “This sort of behaviour is unacceptable in a place that provides a great outlet for the children in the community”

They’re looking for anyone who has any information to call 087 2492343.
