Regarded in basketball circles as one of the best shooting coaches in the world, and the world’s greatest-living jump shooters, Dave Hopla is bound for Carlow next week.
Per USA Basketball, in an article published in 2012, Hopla once made 1,234 free throws in a row without a miss, hit 181 college three-pointers without a miss, made 78 NBA three-pointers without a miss and in one year had a 99.19% shooting percentage, nailing 11,093 from 11,183.
Having worked with everyone from Michael Jordan to the New York Knicks, the Toronto Raptors to assistant coach at the Washington Wizards, Hopla is bound for Tyndall College on Monday 21 November from 7-9pm for a one-off shooting clinic.
Per SETU Basketball, “this is an opportunity of a lifetime for young and old basketball players and coaches in our area.”
Entry is €10 with registration available via email to [email protected].
Hopla is also part of the Inspirus Sports Dublin Basketball Classic this weekend which brings NCAA Division 1 men’s and women’s college basketball to Dublin.
