Derry are through to the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship final after they defeated Kilkenny in Saturday afternoon’s semi-final.
The game was competitive throughout with points from Laura Greene (2), Emma Manogue and Sarah Barcoe making sure a single point separated the sides at the break with Derry leading by 0-06 to 0-05.
The Ulster side took control of the encounter in the second half as they added four consecutive points but Seamus Kelly’s charges found a way back into the tie with Ellen Gunner, Claire Doheny, Niamh Phelan and Emma Manogue helping the game end in a 0-11 to 0-11 draw.
Extra-time then began in FBD Semple Stadium and it was Derry who took control as they finished with a flourish to book a spot in next month’s decider.
