Carlow hurling manager Tom Mullally says Down will have targeted this game against them this weekend.
They make the trip up North on Sunday with throw-in for the game at 1 pm.
Tom told scoreline that once the lads put in a good performance that’s the main thing.
“It’s their first home game, we’re travelling much the same as they were travelling in their opening game and it will be the second game in, none of these performances is going to be perfect, I think we have to be realistic that way,” said Mullally.
“It’s grand to have high aspirations but I think we have to deal with what’s happening on any given day and if our players are honest and they represent Carlow well then I think in the long run we’ll be all the better for it” he said.
