Former Kilkenny Senior Hurler Eddie Brennan says that the drawn Kilkenny v Wexford Leinster Championship clash in Wexford Park will have benefited the young players greatly.

He said “Those are the kind of matches that Brian Cody really put’s value on, he loves when lads are in a battle and you have a real dogfight of a game that takes them out of their comfort zones and really tests what’s in their heads, and I think a match like that will bring on a lot of those younger guys like the Hughie Lawlors, to me Jason Cleere was impressive when he came on, Adrian Mullen, BIlly Ryan all the younger guys that are there that are coming in, and games like that can really bolster their confidence”.
