Eire Og Senior Football Manager Joe Murphy says that there should have been club fixtures as normal even with the Inter-County Team in action.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday evening’s Division One League Football Final against Rathvilly, Joe says it’s something that the Carlow County Board need to address.

He said “My main bone of contention is that for the last six weeks or so there has been no games at all until last Saturday night with the Semi-Final versus Palatine”.

“From a player point of view, players want to play games, I think it’s something that the Carlow County Board should look at maybe at a League structure of a home and away that their is sort of two games over a consistent period of time. Right now you are just really and training and players can get frustrated with that”.
