Former Eire Og Senior Footballer Willie Quinlan says that the Club needed Sunday’s County Final victory more than Rathvilly.
Speaking to KCLR after Sunday’s County Final, Willie says they have the potential to go and win future County titles.
“I think EIRE OG needed this one more. They are missing the last 5 or 6 years. It’s 5 years since they won one. They needed to get back into it”
“It’s great for these bunch of young lads that are coming together there for a long number of years. You are always thinking are we going to win one, are we going to win one”
“I know Niall (Quinlan) came on as a sub there and that’s his first Senior Championship. It’s great to see win their first one and gives them that bit of confidence hopefully. They are a young team and they can push on, their is many years in the future again”
