Eire Og and Carlow Senior Footballer of the Year Sean Gannon says that getting so close to winning last year’s Leinster Senior Club Final is a motivator in itself.
Sean was named on the AIB Gaelic Football Team of the year following his performances for the club and speaking at last weeks award ceremony, Sean says the squad are well primed to go one step further this year.
He said “Yeah, there is very few guys who are coming to an end. The majority of the panel are between 20 and 26 so that experience from last year can only drive them on, I suppose getting so close is a motivator in itself so maybe the guys who need to do that little bit extra to get over the line this year will start doing it a little bit earlier”.
