KCLR understands that Eoin Larkin has suffered a potential injury in the lead in to this year’s All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final against Galway on 6 September.
The Kilkenny team were away at a training camp in Fota, Cork, at the weekend where the Kilkenny forward and former All Star sustained an injury to his hand – reports this morning suggesting he had broken his thumb.
While there are doubts about the James Stephens clubmans fitness, Larkin is expected to be a part of the action in Croke Park on Sunday week.
Club mate Jackie Tyrell is still an injury concern having played no part in Kilkenny’s semi-final victory over Waterford.
We’ll have a full status update following the team’s press event in Kilkenny tomorrow afternoon.
