Eoin Larkin isn’t one to mince his words.

In the wake of defending champions Kilkenny’s exit of the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship at the hands of Wexford on Saturday night, former senior hurler Eoin Larkin has been chatting to Kevin Regan about the game, the current setup and what happens next.

Speaking to KCLR, the former Kilkenny forward says their work-rate wasn’t acceptable.

“First of all I suppose Wexford thoroughly deserved their win, but I thought in general Kilkenny were very poor and offered very little to the game”, says the James Stephens clubman.

“Some of their (Kilkenny) bigger players didn’t play well. Colin Fennelly was the only one that really stood up and took the game to Wexford and he didn’t get enough ball into him unfortunately but yeah, very poor. I thought the work-rate was down an awful lot, I thought the distribution of the ball, I think they only scored 1-4 from play in the whole game so overall very disappointed.”
