Borris Vocational School crowned dual winners at the Hurst College National Senior Schools Jumping Championships

Borris Vocational School

Borris Vocational School Student Catherine Kavanagh says that Equestrian has taken off in the school in more recent years.

Catherine was part of the squad along with Patrick Doyle, Aoife Murphy and Claire Kavanagh that claimed the Hurst College National Senior Schools Jumping Championships in Hickstead earlier in the month, and speaking to KCLR, she says they are very busy participating in various competitions.

She said “Over the years there would have been but since about five or six years ago we started going to the Leagues and stuff so that kind of started the whole Showjumping in the school”.

“It wouldn’t have been as big until five or six years ago, it would have been kind of the once or twice a year, but now it’s every second weekend”.
