Erins Own Castlecomer Manager Tommy Buggy doesn’t think that the mid-season break which halted their progress during the Senior League came at the wrong time.
Erin’s Own play James Stephens in the first round of Championship games on Sunday afternoon, and speaking to KCLR, Tommy says they learned how to readjust during the time off.
When asked about whether the break from club fixtures came at the wrong time Tommy said,
“No, not really because anyone that’s been involved in clubs in Kilkenny over the years, you know you are going to run into little problems like that over the course so you just re-adjust and give guys time off or whatever the case maybe or put in that hard physical training at that stage, knowing that you cant do it when you come to late August/September so everything is geared towards this time of the year, this is the big stuff really”
