Dunnamaggin Junior Hurling Selector Johnny Ryan says the experienced players within the squad are providing the leadership required for the younger players within the squad.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Saturday’s Leinster Junior Final against Na Fianna (Meath), Johnny says their experience has been a massive factor to what is in the majority a very young squad and will be a factor when playing in the Intermediate ranks next year.

Apart from Noel (Hickey), you have to speak of Mark Heffernan and Seaghan O’Neill and even Canice Hickey, the experience that they give is unbelievable”

“Now the rest of the team apart from those 4 are a relatively a very young team, but the experience that they have is fantastic, but the speed you are in 5th gear, even 6th year Intermediate, that’s what you have to attain because they are some very good teams, and it’s a fine line the whole time between a Championship and getting relegated”
