The FAI have appointed Odgers Berndtson to headhunt candidates for the role of the association’s CEO.
Since John Delaney’s departure in April of last year, the role has been occupied on an interim basis by a number of individuals.
Gerry Owens is the current Interim CEO of the FAI, with Niall Quinn the Interim Deputy CEO.
Meanwhile, The return of the League of Ireland in 2020 remains in the balance after the FAI failed to get sign off on a financial package to support the return of clubs to action.
One area being proposed is for the four clubs that have qualified for Europe, Dundalk, Shamrock Rovers, Derry City and Bohemians to contribute 100 thousand euro each from their European prize money this summer to an overall fund.
