Former Carlow Senior Footballer Brendan Hayden Sr. says that Carlow’s victory over Kildare should count for a lot ahead of Sunday’s Leinster Semi-Final clash against Laois.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s match, Brendan says that Carlow have worked tremendously hard to deal with the changes in the game.
“The game has changed so much now. There is a lot more about speed and everything towards in my time playing where every man played his own man, but the game has changed so much now.
“It’s a faster game, and the lads have worked tremendously hard to get them to a certain standard, and they have played very well.
“Nobody thought they would beat Kildare and that was a big result for Carlow and it should stand to them going into Croke Park next Sunday,” he said.
