Former Wexford Senior Hurler Tom Dempsey says that Kilkenny will be a major force come the Summer.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of today’s National League clash, Tom says that their is serious talent still to return.
He said “When it all boils down, they were probably the closest team or well one of the closest teams to beating Limerick last year.
“I watched the Shamrocks against Ballygunner, I was at the game, by god they have some talent coming through, the TJ Reid’s, Colin Fennelly, Joey Holden is going through a great period, he will probably fill in at corner-back, Cillian Buckley will come back in, the likes Padraig Walsh will be in the middle of the field”.
“Kilkenny will be a major force come the Summer, but I think the only problem they could have a bit like Wexford, they could run out of matches and they really need to piece it together very very quickly, and it’s not easy without competitive matches and that’s why this weekend is so important” he said.
