We may have fallen short of the try line in the six nations but we did manage to get an Irish four nations title in the hole recently.
Carlow man Stan Brennan helped Ireland claim the inaugural Four Nations footgolf tournament at the Pococke a few weeks ago. Word has it that celebrations have just recently died down!
On route to the final Team Ireland lost to Scotland but did have victories over England and Wales to make the final. Redemption was on the cards for Ireland as they took on Scotland in the final, a game that came down to penalty putts.

Speaking with Scoreline Stan Brennan spoke of his elation;
“Scotland were firm favourites going into it. To get the win over them in the final was just great.”
“It was fine margins. On another day it could have been 12-6 to Scotland, but it also could have been 12-6 to us. The games were so close, some going down to the 18th hole.”
Next up now is an Irish tour for members to qualify to represent Ireland in the World Cup in Orlando next year.
