Freebooters Youths Manager Derrick Kenny says they are more than willing to give players a rest that are involved in other sports.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s FAI Youths Cup clash at home to St. Brendans, Derrick says the players are giving a full commitment despite a busy schedule.
“We have spoken to the lads and they have gone off and they do their hurling training between 6 and 7 there with Kilkenny on Thursday evening and they come along to ourselves there and join in for the last 45 minutes after that.
“They train on Saturdays so they are giving as much of a commitment as they can and we do have respect for them.
“If any of them need to step out at any stage from training through tiredness we are more than willing there to give any of them a break, and we are capable of giving them a rest if they need it,” he said.
