Kilkenny’s Freebooters AFC are having the official opening of their new Astro Turf pitch this Sunday afternoon.
The opening will be overseen by FAI CEO John Delaney, taking place at The Fairgreen between 2pm and 4pm.
All club players, family members, friends and supporters of Freebooters are invited to attend, with an encouragement to wear club colours on the day.
There’s also a barbeque planned for Sunday, DJ, a crossbar challenge and more activities for the younger attendees.
