Gowran Pitch and Putt clubman Jack McShane has been named David Buggy Motors Kilkenny Sports Star of the Month Award winner for the month of August.
Jack was crowned All Ireland U16 Strokeplay champion at the Seapoint course in Louth on August 26th.
Jack, who is 13 years old, put in a terrific performance against older juveniles to finish with a nine under par score for 36 holes and five shots clear of his nearest challenger.
He is a first ever All-Ireland juvenile winner from a Kilkenny club.
Jack was also part of the Kilkenny U16 intercounty team on the same day who finished runners up by a single shot to a strong and experienced Kerry team.
Jack will now be part of the Irish juvenile Pitch and Putt team in a challenge against Catalonia in the region in October.
