Word is currently quiet on an appointment of a new Kilkenny Camogie manager since Brian Dowling stepped away.
Dowling lead Kilkenny to two All-Ireland senior camogie titles and respective Manager of the Year awards in 2020 and 2022, so will no doubt be hard to replace.
One name many called for is former Kildare hurling manager David Herity, who has previous camogie experience will Dublin also.
Speaking to KCLR, 12-time All Ireland winner with Kilkenny and the former manager, Anne Downey stated that Herity would be a good shout for the role while also alluding to the year being tough on Brian Dowling & Co this campaign;
“David, I’d say he’s a good candidate in fairness, you know, he has all the credentials and is a real Kilkenny man so I wouldn’t be too disappointed if I saw David going in.”

“Miriam Walsh, this year was a huge loss, she had such a year, the year before, player of the year for the All-Ireland and getting an All-Star. a big loss.
“Then Danielle Morrissey, you know, again, she was brought on to the panel, it was only two weeks and she did her cruciate, so it was a big ask, I suppose, you know, to have that hunger again.”
